Lou Kregel • Color + Pattern x Surface
Crayon in hand, Lou Kregel began her career as an artist with her first mural at age 2. She later studied surface design at the University of North Texas and worked for many years as a sign painter and graphic designer. Her work is now focused almost entirely on the creation of repeated patterns for paintings and for various commercial applications, including rugs, textiles, home furnishings and, most recently, hot air balloons and race cars. She also moonlights as a color consultant for NASA. Ok, those last three are just wishful thinking, but a girl can dream, can't she?
